You're Invited

We invite you to join us this Sunday! You'll find that we have a place for you here, regardless of where you might be on your spiritual journey. We love to include people who are learning about God for the very first time; others who have walked with God for many years, and all the other people who are somewhere in between. Each of us shares a desire to learn more about God, and we're constantly amazed at His grace towards us!

Feel free to dress casually at our weekly worship gathering at 10:00 am every Sunday. The music in our worship service is contemporary in style and Gospel centered.

Who We Are

Harvest is a family of Jesus-followers, passionately committed to pursuing the mission Christ gave to his church: to glorify God by...

Learning together to live like Jesus to reach our world

T H R E E  W O R D S  capture the heart of our mission:

  • G R O W . . .

by becoming like Jesus in: what we care about; what we value; how we live

  • C O N N E C T . . .

by developing God-focused, others-oriented relationships with one another

  • R E A C H . . .

by living like Jesus among those in our sphere of influence so they experience first-hand what He's like

Our Beliefs

W E  B E L I E V E  that there is one God, and that He lives eternally in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; II Cor 13:14; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 3:21; John 1:1-2; John 10:30; Hebrews 9:14; Revelation 1:8)

W E  B E L I E V E  in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son; that He lived as God in human form; was conceived by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary, that He lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of mankind, that he rose victorious over death, and is the Divine Lord and Master of the church.  (John 1:1-2; Luke 1:35; Rom 3:24-25; I Cor 15:3-4; I Peter 1:3-5; I Thess 4:13-18; Zech 14:4-11;

W E  B E L I E V E  in the Holy Spirit; that He leads us to salvation; lives within all believers, and that all believers are to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  (Rom 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 5:18-20)Rev 20:6)

Our Core Values

E x p o s i t i o n a l  P r e a c h i n g

We let the Bible set the agenda for our preaching and teaching. The point of the Bible passage is the point of the Sunday sermon, so we seek to explain the truths of Scripture and then apply them to modern life. Our typical approach to a sermon series is to preach through a book of the Bible from start to finish, studying books from both the Old and New Testaments. This main approach is supplemented periodically by sermons that expound the Bible’s teaching on various timely topics that Christians face as followers of Jesus today.

G o s p e l  C e n t e r e d

The main message of the Bible is the Gospel of Jesus, and from beginning to end, each part of the Bible contributes something to this story. Since the Bible centers on the Gospel, so does our teaching and our ministry emphasis at Harvest. We’re a Gospel-centered church that builds Gospel-shaped people for a Gospel-needing world.

G o d  G l o r i f y i n g

The Bible teaches that the ultimate purpose of life is to glorify God, and that we are most satisfied when God is most glorified. Our lives are about Him rather than ourselves; and, as a church, we’re committed to building this truth into our everyday experience.

Relational

Churches are communities.  God intend Christians to be in relationship with one another, so we aspire to be relational in

everything we do.  In the Bible, God tells us that we need one another in order to grow spiritually; our lives change when God's Spirit opens our heart to God's Word in the midst of God's People.

Substantively Joyful

Joy cannot be superficial, so Harvest is a safe place where we deal with the real issues of life.  People need answers to life's hard realities and we believe God provides those answers in the Bible; so, we let God instruct us on all topics as we teach the Scriptures.  And when we walk with God in all things what we find is that He is the source of true joy.  We want this authentic joy to pervade our church as we celebrate God's goodness with warmth and laughter.  We take God very seriously, and ourselves not too seriously!  And we have a blast doing it.
