let the Bible set the agenda for our preaching and teaching. The point of the
Bible passage is the point of the Sunday sermon, so we seek to explain the
truths of Scripture and then apply them to modern life. Our typical approach to
a sermon series is to preach through a book of the Bible from start to finish,
studying books from both the Old and New Testaments. This main approach is
supplemented periodically by sermons that expound the Bible’s teaching on
various timely topics that Christians face as followers of Jesus today.

Churches are communities. God intend Christians to be in relationship with one another, so we aspire to be relational in
everything we do. In the Bible, God tells us that we need one another in order to grow spiritually; our lives change when God's Spirit opens our heart to God's Word in the midst of God's People.
Joy cannot be superficial, so Harvest is a safe place where we deal with the real issues of life. People need answers to life's hard realities and we believe God provides those answers in the Bible; so, we let God instruct us on all topics as we teach the Scriptures. And when we walk with God in all things what we find is that He is the source of true joy. We want this authentic joy to pervade our church as we celebrate God's goodness with warmth and laughter. We take God very seriously, and ourselves not too seriously! And we have a blast doing it.
