Our Elders

  • David Armentrout - Elder Chairman

My amazing wife Margaret and I have been married 45 years.  We have two grown children and five fun grandsons.  We have been active members of Harvest since it’s beginning.  I am presently retired after working 35 years as a manager for Pendleton Woolen Mills. My wife and I love Harvest with it’s focus on family, priority of the Word and It's desire to further the Kingdom.

  • Chad Peterson - Elder

I was born and raised in Oregon within a Christian home and came to know Christ at a young age. After completing college and getting my footing established in the insurance industry, I found myself moving further and further westward within the Portland Metro Area before landing in Hillsboro. God lead me to Harvest in 2014 and I formally committed to the church through membership in 2017. I am married to my wife, Sharon, and we have a young son, Micah. I have been blown away by how God has used this body of believers to shape and refine me through the preaching of God's Word, discipleship and service. I desire to cultivate the same for all those who call Harvest home.

  • Matt Guerino - Lead Pastor/Elder

Amy and I have been married since 1994 and our two kids, Elizabeth and Tommy, are quickly moving through the high school and college years. I’ve served in full time pastoral ministry since 1999, including my time here at Harvest which began in 2006. God has given me a passion to teach his Word and to lead his people, and I love the opportunity I have to do those things in my role as the Lead Pastor of a church like Harvest that’s so responsive to God’s heart for his people.

  • Mark Brewer - Elder Secretary

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Danine, since 1994.  We enjoy being involved in our two sons’ lives as they quickly grow in to adulthood.  Working at Washington County for over 14 years and attending Harvest since 2014, I appreciate the local community God has woven in to our family’s lives to share, support and experience life with.

  • Jim Barclay - Elder

My wife, Kathy, and I have attended Harvest since the mid-1990's where the Lord has nurtured us in countless ways. We were both widowed, in 2010 and 2011 respectively, and then married in 2012. We each have three children with our previous spouses and six grandchildren between us. In 2016 I retired from a 39-year career as a real estate appraiser. Growing up, I had only intermittent exposure to church and the Word of God, but came to saving faith in Jesus Christ at age 28 and since then I continue in wonder and gratitude over the grace that made me a new creation, moving me from darkness into light. Consequently, I consider it a great privilege to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and to serve His church any way I can.

  • Brent Lince - Elder of Stewardship

Growing up in the Seattle area, I gave my life to Christ at a young age, then recommitted to him in my early teens. I went to Seattle Pacific University where I met my wonderful wife Karen. We were married in 1985. We lived in Pullman for 2 years (where I was baptized), then moved to Hillsboro

in 1989 where I started work as a design engineer at Intel. We started attending Harvest in 1990 and have been committed ever since, serving in a variety of ways. We have 3 amazing daughters. In 2007 I started a career as a fee-only financial planner. My desire is to see God glorified in his church as a whole and in his local body here at Harvest.
