Community Life is a term we’re using to represent all the ways we’re leading people to be in community. We desire to provide three different opportunities to lead people to connect with one another as we’re in a season where many are feeling disconnected from our church family and starving for community.
If you have questions about any of these, please email Jordan Young HERE.
Community Life Groups (CLG):
Our CLGs are small group of people intentionally gathered together to be the church for one another. These groups vary in shapes and sizes. We have men’s groups, women’s groups, a young adult group, youth and children groups, and small groups filled with mixed age and gender.
Fall Weekly Meals:
These weekly meals are designed to be a different opportunity for people to connect with one another in a safe and different environment. We are thinking specifically about people in our church family who are struggling to connect through their CLG or not currently attending one. Every Saturday from November 7th – November 21st we will provide a place for up to 50 people to come and have a meal together. Kids will be welcome -but no childcare will be provided. We will have a sign-up system similar to our Sunday morning Worship Services.
*Jordan is looking for four people to help plan these gatherings. If you’re interested in joining him please email him HERE.
Intentional Social Hangouts:
Maybe you’ve found a home here at Harvest but have not found a place to connect with others. Maybe you’re a part of a small group but desire to experience something different. We’re encouraging you to reach out to a few someone’s you know -or couples you know, and ask them if they would be willing to get together with you for 12-weeks so that you can encourage each other in your walks with Jesus. Be creative in how you plan your time. If you need a resource, then we encourage you use a 12-week Bible study from the “Knowing The Bible” series. These are intended to be personal Bible studies where you come together to discuss what you’ve learned. No “teaching” skills are necessary. Just 12-weeks of accountability and rich discussion.
Crossway has one of these studies for every book of the Bible. You can choose which one you go through.
