Lent is a 40-day journey leading up to Easter where followers of Jesus intentionally prepare their hearts to celebrate Easter morning.  During this season at Harvest, we focus on our brokenness and our need for Jesus.  We are offering two different resources to walk us through this season.  Below is a brief description of both options.  You can purchase them through the link below or we will have some for purchase at cost during our Sunday gatherings.  Choose one of them that best fits you.  We will begin reading together on Ash Wednesday which begins on February 17th

The first resource is a well written and easy to read Lent devotional called “Journey to the Cross” by Paul David Tripp.  This book has 40 short devotions with a few reflective questions each day.  The second resource is a family devotional designed for families to do together.  This devotional is called, “The Wonder of Easter” by Ed Drew.  This book has 40 simple but yet rich devotions for your family to walk through.  At the end of each day is has a discussion question for all ages (toddlers – high school).

  • The first resource is a well written and easy to read lent devotional called “Journey to the Cross” by Paul David Tripp.  In this forty-day Lenten devotional, best-selling author Paul David Tripp invites us to set aside time from the busyness of our lives to focus on the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus. Each of the short readings encourages us to abide in the abundant joy found in Christ as we encounter the Savior more fully and follow him more faithfully during this Lenten season.

This season of distancing and gathering restrictions has changed the way churches function, raising some important questions: how do we connect with God and pursue his will for us in this environment? We're looking to the New Testament book of Acts for some guidance. Join us as we experience hope and clarity in seeing how the world's earliest churches were born, grew, and thrived in a hostile and threatening world.
