Women

Harvest seeks to help women see and understand that the power for real living comes from knowing the truth – about ourselves, about God Himself and about the enemy and his lies.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Proverbs 31:25

Women's Summer Book Club

May is here and it's time to kick off our book club for Summer 2022! Last year, we read three fascinating biographies of women who wrote about their trials and victories. This year, we'll be exploring the worlds of both fiction and nonfiction
In our first book, We'll be running around ancient Rome with our heroine. Our second book will have us exploring the jungles of Papua New Guinea with a real life Wycliffe translator. In our third book we'll join children fleeing to Mexico during the Spanish Civil War.
At the end of each month, we'll gather together to eat, connect and talk about what we read.
Books go on sale Sunday, May 22nd at the Women's Kiosk in the Atrium.
Death and a Crocodile by Lisa Betz – available on May 22nd and discussed June 21st. (Mystery)
In Search of the Source by Neil Anderson – available June 21st and discussed July 19th. (Missionary)
Remember Me: A Spanish Civil War Novel by Mario Escobar – available July 19th and discussed August 16th. (Historical fiction).

Women's Retreats

We have a new mission and a new format!
As part of Harvest’s renewed focus on discipleship, we have redesigned our Retreat ministry. Beginning in 2022, we are moving from our traditional large group annual event to smaller and more personal weekends intended to develop deeper connections to each other as we learn about Jesus together.
During the spring and fall this year, women from our ministry will be hosting weekends for groups no larger than twelve in homes on the beach, in the mountains, and on the river. And each of these weekends will include times of study, prayer, worship, fun and encouragement. All aimed at helping one another find and follow Jesus.
Interested?
Please let us know which season, spring or fall, you would like to consider attending one of our new retreats and we will send you more information on how you can join us in this new and exciting way to come away together.

Most groups meet weekly and spend time building friendships, exploring how the scripture from the most recent sermon applies to our lives, and praying for one another. Groups are open to adults of all ages and backgrounds.

Widows Group

The purpose of the widow's group is to provide spiritual and emotional support to women who have lost a husband.  Let's look beyond "the incident" to how life should look now, led by God's Word.  Let all of our experiences and the Word of God help you find what God desires next for you in this season of life!  Whether you are a recent widow, or if it's been awhile, all are welcome.
If you are interested in this group, please contact Sandy Burgess, HERE.
